With the new Prime
series, Denon DJ introduces a player and mixer that will not go unnoticed in
the world of the professional DJ. The SC5000 Prime player is provided with
a multi-core internal processor and runs the newest version of Denon DJ's
Engine Prime-software. The player is also
equipped with 8 multifunctional trigger pads that can be used for cues, loops,
slices and rolls. Up to 4 of these players can be
synchronised to run in parallel by means of LAN connections. In addition, the Engine Connect protocol that
uses the new X1800 Prime 4 channel mixer,
offers improved BPM and effect options.
The SC5000 stores all USB or SD entered DJ
settings, including made track cue points, loops, play history and track
analysis. The unique dual-deck play option turns this
player into a 2-decks-in-1 media player. The audio outputs are 24-bit/96kHz for the highest sound quality and the
SC5000 supports uncompressed sound files (such as FLAC, ALAC and WAV), but also
compressed files such as MP3.
The Denon DJ Prime
SC5000 player and X1800 mixer are both available to rent from AED Rent and for
sale from AED Store.

AV Stumpfl CEO Tobias Stumpfl: "AED has been one of our closest partners in Europe for quite a few years now. It makes us particularly happy to see that both our projection screens and media server related product ranges continue to be important parts of the AED family's rental product portfolio. We know the AED team is highly professional from first hand experience, because we have cooperated with them on many occasions in the past and are looking forward to supporting them in the future."
Both companies officially announced the product order at this year's Integrated Systems Europe trade fair in Amsterdam.
AED Display Managing Director Thierry Heldenbergh commented on the substantial investment: “We have been working with AV Stumpfl for some years now and have always been very satisfied with the quality and service they provide. This level of quality can be considered as an example for the industry and definitely meets our strict standards. We hope to continue our cooperation with AV Stumpfl for many years to come!
Not only do we believe in the AV Stumpfl products, but even more so in the people behind them.
The efforts of all these talented people result in projection screens with a reputation of uncompromising durability and ease-of-use whilst their media servers are known for their stability and rugged design.
AED group was the first company to invest in AV Stumpfl RAW servers right after the official release at last year’s ISE. Those servers are now considered the standard for uncompressed playback. So we will uphold our reputation to be first and are sure the brand new Stage engine V2 rocked the show!”
announced the cooperation with Epson in the autumn of 2016 (AED ensures the
distribution of Epson’s range of laser source projectors in the Benelux
countries), Epson’s new showpiece, the Pro L-25000U, will be highlighted at ISE: this is a 25.000 Ansi lumens projector that
combines inorganic LCD technology with solid-state technology. These projectors are already available for rent
in large numbers. You will also get a sneak preview
of the new Epson L-1755. This 15.000 Ansi
lumens projector will be available as of November 2017. Until March 15, AED and Epson provide an attractive
introductory offer by means of the “Epson Starter Pack”: an EB-L1405U or EB-L1505U projector with rental
frame, 3 lenses, 4 flight cases, wireless LAN-module and a rental voucher to
the value of 500 euros.
4K firmly enters the
installation and rental markets and AED and Barco will also focus on this
development in 2017. AED extended its
HDX platform already in 2016 with the HDX-4K-Flex, which besides its
already known flexible luminosity can also be flexibly set as a WQXGA or 4K
projector. Moreover, there is the new F-Series platform by
Barco including the F90-4K, that combines solid-state (laser-phosphor) technology
with single chip DLP, resulting in a 12.000 Ansi lumens projector with
exceptional 4K performance.
At ISE 2017, AED will
announce its European dealership of LED manufacturer Transtech (TRT). The LED products will be distributed by the
establishments of the AED group and will be offered both for sale and to rent. Thierry Heldenbergh, Managing Director of AED
Display, explains this strategic cooperation: “The strong know-how of Transtech guarantees thorough quality controls
during the entire production process of this LED technology. Today, Transtech already provides a broad
selection of high-quality products ranging from ultra-high resolution indoor
screens (1.2 mm pitch) to typical outdoor screens (20 mm pitch), including
poster LEDs and customised city posters. All products comply with the CE and EMC standards. The focus is mainly on fixed installations (the
retail market, in- and outdoor advertising, sports and event locations,…), but
the rental market is also in full development. The roll-out of a rental platform will be introduced at ProLight &
Sound 2017 in Frankfurt. At ISE, we will even
demonstrate a 3D-LCD display developed by Transtech that doesn’t require the
classical 3D eyewear anymore.”

Major sale and equipment
order signed at IBC 2015
Wallern, Austria, September
2015: Austrian engineering company, AV Stumpfl® announced
that 15 brand new Wings Engine Raw 3-stream uncompressed 4K60 media servers and
80 VarioClip® mobile projection screens were purchased by audiovisual equipment
banker AED Display.
AED Display signed an official agreement at IBC 2015 with further
investments planned for 2016.
“We already provide AV Stumpfl equipment to our top customers. Our
success is driven by our ability to provide technologies of higher performance
for use in the world’s most spectacular events,” said Thierry Heldenbergh,
Managing Director at AED Display. “Such an approach requires AED Display to
stay at the forefront of audio-visual technology.”
Set to make its global debut at IBC 2015, Wings Engine Raw is the first
and only triple-stream 4K uncompressed media server and AED Display is the
first company to sign a significant order.
“Wings Engine Raw is the only RAID 10-based system out there that allows
us to provide 3-stream 4K content and large image files with a combined total
playout of maximum 4K using a 150Hz engine. This is essential to provide high
resolution visuals, ensuring impact for customers in different shows,” adds
“Wings Engine Raw can be integrated with any projection or display
device. The technology is ultra dependable and will integrate seamlessly with
our existing stock including Wings Engine Stage and the newest 4K event
management switchers such as the Barco (E2) or the new and upcoming Barco S3-4K.
We are confident that this will become the standard playout system for high
demanding video presentations and shows.”
The AV Stumpfl Wings Engine Raw is capable of delivering constant data
stream of 3-channels of true 4K (4,096 x 2,304 pixels) uncompressed video
content at 60fps plus up to 16 text and picture layers, and up to 24
uncompressed audio streams. The server removes the need to convert content into
any intermediate codec format. Content can include native picture sequences
such as TGA or TIFF and even instant PNG image format processing.
Wings Engine Raw is capable of processing and delivering video content
at the full 4:4:4 colour sampling ensuring picture perfect quality and colour
accuracy for the most demanding of installation environments
Dynamic VarioClip screens
in any size or shape
The investment in 80 units of 16:9 format AV Stumpfl VarioClip mobile
projection screens in various sizes up to 800 by 450cm will see AED Display
deploy them in projects across Europe. VarioClip meets strict safety standards
and are easy to store. VarioClip offers the Quickclip fast to set up system and
clean profile that removes the need for press studs or clips.
“VarioClip system uses a unique lock concept for fast set up and modular
design. It’s possible to use the front or back of the screen as a projection
surface using a single frame,” says Heldenbergh. “This will help our client to
make easier and bigger projection screen setups resulting in better and higher
quality solutions in ever increasingly demanding entertainment, media
television and corporate event businesses.”
Tobias Stumpfl, CEO at AV Stumpfl enthuses: “As well as being a first
time exhibitor at IBC 2015, we introduced Wings Engine Raw and announced its first
major sale to AED Display. That’s a significant achievement and milestone!”
“The IBC show delivered a strong presence of international event
production companies, broadcasters, content creators and end-users. We believe
this large sale will also inspire these communities to see how our production
solutions are moving from niche markets and into everyday communications.”

(MD Kanakna) : “AED studios combineert ‘the best of both worlds’. Enerzijds

Think You Can Dance’ uit te zenden vanuit Lint!”
